1) You Can’t Seem to Unpack

Right after you come home from a tour, your bag is much heavier than it was when you first left. You were sure to unpack every gift and souvenir you bought so you could display them on your shelves and give them to your friends. But, even though you desperately need to do laundry and you might even benefit from buying a new bag altogether, you just can’t seem to do it. After all, unpacking your bag would mean unpacking the memories, and you’re just not ready to do that quite yet!

2) You Start Every Sentence With, “When I Was On My Tour”

Whether you’re with friends, family, your co-workers, or even your dog, you find a way to bring absolutely every conversation back to your tour. You’ll talk about your experiences with anyone who will listen, and to those who really don’t want to listen. You’ve heard people tell you, “Yeah, I’ve already heard that story,” but, you don’t care. There’s nothing that makes you happier than reliving your experiences and hopefully encouraging others to do the same.

3) You Find Yourself Comparing Everything to Things You Saw Abroad

“I wish my town had a coffee shop as nice as the one I went to in Germany.” “Ugh, this wine tastes horrible compared to the one I had in France.” And, “Why can’t my city be as beautiful as every single one I saw in Europe?”

The minute you come home, you’ll quickly find yourself comparing everything you see to what you saw abroad. You’ll realize pretty quickly that nothing seems to measure up, and all you want to do is go back on a plane and relive it all.

4)  You Get REALLY Nostalgiac

After returning from a tour, there are a lot of moments of sadness. This can be triggered by a) talking to your friends from your tour, b) going through photos over and over again on social media, and c) not being able to concentrate because you’re constantly daydreaming about one of the best trips you have ever had in your life. We get it.

5) You’re Already Thinking About Booking Your Next Tour

And,, last but not least, the one thing that always happens when tour-goers return home is that they begin planning their next tour. You know how much amazing fun you had, and it was worth every penny. You would do it all again if you could, which is why you’re already thinking about where you’ll go next.

Does this sound like you? What else has happened to you when you came back from your tour?
