Paris city views, Tour comparison France

So, you have a few days in Paris. That’s hardly enough time to see any city well, especially one as beautiful as the City of Lights. While it’s easy to fall in love with this city the moment you arrive, each street you walk on in this city will have you head over heels by the time you check out of your hotel.

This is what you do if you only have a few days in this magical destination.

Book the Perfect Place

Paris is an expensive city, and if you’re attempting to have any kind of budget, then you need to do your research about where you want to say. However, if you can afford it, we highly recommend booking an Airbnb or guesthouse with the view of the Eiffel Tower, at least for one night. The tower lights up with twinkling lights each night every hour on the hour, and it’s a beautiful sight. For the rest of the trip, try to find a good hostel or stay somewhere out in the suburbs, to not only save money, but to also get a taste of how the locals live.

Go Sightseeing

Paris has a lot of sights to see, and the sights simply can’t be missed here. To make sightseeing simpler, buy the tourist pass which allows you access to all the museums and sights in the city. There are also many tours that will take you around to different sights, whether it be in a bus or on a bicycle. Each sight could have an entire day dedicated to itself, but since you have only a few days, make sure you hit The Louvre, The Catacombs, The Luxembourg Gardens (where you can see the second Statue of Liberty), Notre Dame, and Sacre Coeur. Remember, if you choose not to get a tourist pass, most museums are free the first Sunday of every month.

Go On a Day Tour

Paris offers many day tours that will take you out of the city. You can visit Chateau Versailles, the Monet Gardens, or even Disneyland! Some tours will also take you to other Chateaus, vineyards, and charming chalets. Take advantage of these tours because you’ll be surprised as to how much you can see in a day.

Eat and Drink Your Heart Out

When it comes to Paris, remember, there are two words: Wine and cheese. And, one who visits Paris should indulge in these two heavenly culinary gifts while they’re here, as much as humanly possible. Whether you prefer to visit the local grocery store and dine in your hotel, or you’d rather do it all at a fondue or raclette restaurant, the options are endless (and delicious).

Just Walk

Paris is one of those cities you don’t always need a destination. Just walking the streets by the river, through the Latin Quarter, or Champ de Elysee, you can take in a lot. While you’re at it, you can do some shopping, take photos in front of the Eiffel Tower or the Arc of Triumph, and grab a coffee at a local cafe and people watch.

Paris CAN be done in just a few days! And, going on a tour will help you squeeze more time out of your trip.
