We all know that the United States is a big country, with a reputation of having its houses, food, and sometimes even its people, of being equally as big. That being said, the incredible thing about the U.S. is that it feels like there is almost five countries built into one. Each region, each state, and each city has it’s own flavor that separates it from the rest. And, whether you’re looking to stay in a fancy hotel in New York or campout in one the national parks, a tour of the U.S will help you do it all.
Most tours in the United States start and end in either New York, LA, Washington, New Orleans, San Francisco, Las Vegas, or Chicago. You can choose to tour the whole country, a section of it, or just get to know the nitty-gritty of a city. Going with a tour will be super helpful, as it will help you organize your accommodations, activities, transportation, and if necessary, even your visas. Tours of the U.S can also, of course, take you to Hawaii and Alaska, as well as the neighboring countries, Canada and Mexico.
Are you ready to explore the good ol’ USA?
USA Tour Destinations
Wow, where do we start? Let’s go from small to big. If you want to get to know the U.S. in more detail and take your time visiting certain places, then you can opt for a regional tour. This could be of the East Coast, the West Coast, just Hawaii, just Alaska, or a themed-tour. A themed tour could be something like going on a “music festival” tour of the United States, which is actually rather popular.
If you’re not sure what region to choose, we understand. The U.S. has so much to offer, and a lot of those cool sights are really far apart from one another. Luckily, a tour will organize your in-country transport, whether that means taking trains, ferries, buses, or domestic flights.
So, shall we start in the cities?
The best way to get to know any major city in the U.S. is by going on a tour. How else will you see everything you want to see? Some examples of city tours include a downtown tour of L.A, where you can do a Beverly Hills Celebrity Tour, see the Hollywood sign, or hang out at Universal Studios and Disneyland with pre-reserved tickets and accommodation. Then, head up north to San Francisco, where you can do a tour of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Haight Ashbury, etc. Before you leave the West Coast, try a VIP limo ride with champagne in Vegas where you can ride by the Strip, a helicopter tour of the Hoover Dam, a night at Cirque Du Soleil, or a trip to the Grand Canyon.
Fly over to the East Coast where you can visit “The City That Never Sleeps,” New York. See all the big sights on a tour or with a NY City Pass, like Wall Street, NYSE, The Statue of Liberty, Greenwich Village, Central Park, the Empire State Building, and the Freedom Tower. When you’re done there (how can you ever be done?) head to Boston, Philly, and down to Washington D.C., and New Orleans. Do a Harvard Tour in Boston or visit an Amish Farm in Philadelphia.
If you’ve had enough of the cities, don’t forget that the United States has magnificent national parks. A visit to a national park can sometimes be hard to coordinate, but your tour guide will take care of all that for you. Check out Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, Monument Valley, you name it. A tour will hook you up with certified park rangers and your entrance passes, as well as an opportunity to spend time with the Navajos, a Native American tribe.
Of course, one of the best ways to see the U.S. is by car. There are many famous drives in the U.S., like old Route 66, I-90, Tioga Pass, or the Appalachian Skyline Drive. Drives like these are long, but can take you to cool places, like the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Sun Studios in Memphis, Elvis Presley’s home “Graceland,” and more.
As you can see, there is so much to do in the United States, it’s hard to do it all. However, going on a tour can seriously help you cut down on time traveling from place to place, as well on costs of everything from your accommodations to entrance fees. A tour can also take you into Canada and Mexico, too. Check out these tours of the United States to see what’s right for you!
