Another festival that takes places in Valencia is Las Fallas. Las Fallas has been going on since the Middle Ages, and it plays an important role in the Valencian community. Though there are many events during the festival, the most significant is the building of the fallas; giant, paper-mache structures that make fun of various public figures.
